The Divide Movie Story Line:- Xavier Gens’ thriller is based on a situation in the aftermath of an apocalypse. The film opens with a group of nine tenants of a New York high rise building escaping a nuclear attack, by seeking refuge in the basement of the same building. With boulders falling all over the place, their routes of making their way out of the basement have been sealed. Graphically demonstrating a lot of violence in the very beginning, the film moves on to depict the group stuck in the basement without any help. As we watch The Divide online, we find their cries deaf ears, a fact that fills them with frustration to the hilt. The film here depicts human emotions of frustration and despair, when the soul admits a checkmate from life and recognizes the end knocking its doors. As hours pass by, the stuck strangers are overtaken by feelings of madness as they take turns to take it out at each other pumped up by both, psycho-sexual and physical torture. While getting into the basement, the men had taken supplies with them to eat and live on for a few hours. The supplies were slowly coming to an end, and tensions starts mounting in that foul smelling chamber of theirs. Their acts turn meaner, as their souls are slowly conquered by feelings of hopelessness and death waiting to engulf them, once and for all. Slowly, they appear more and more inhumane towards each other, and seem to be giving in completely to all the frustration boiling inside.. Only one among them was capable of holding on to his emotions, his character and his behavior by not submitting to all the frustration like his comrades. He knows there is a tiny chance to escape the basement, and with little hope of salvation outside, he decides to go ahead and try his luck for a heroic escape.

Beneath the Darkness Movie Story Line:- Ely Vaughn is one of the strongest pillars of a society that needs him for each and every funeral, as he is their much revered mortician. Smithville, the tiny city in Texas, has Elle as one of its highly respected and indispensible members, who was once well-known for his stunts as the high school team’s quarterback. Ely was humble and friendly with the whole town till the tragic death of his beloved wife, who was his only companion in this world, two years ago. Ely has not maintained talking terms with anyone in the town, and somehow, had managed to hibernate since then. His neighbors had seen very little of him since then and the young boys in town believe that there exists a supernatural angle to this story. They assume that some paranormal activity must be on inside his mansion, which is also the funeral house. As we watch Beneath the Darkness online, we find four young kids from the town – Travis, Brian, Danny and Abby trying to spy into the mansion, to have a look at all that was happening inside. To their surprise, peeping through the curtains of the bedroom, they find the supposed-to be-sad Ely dancing with a mysterious lady. She combines unusual approach and mixes science and religion to fight with the four powerful demons, which are possessing Maria’s putrid body. On the other hand, the entire film crew captures all the experiences of the woman in a camera. But all this while, something goes horribly wrong that puts Is Isabella’s mother in danger. The Devil Inside Movie Review:- Buried somewhere within the abysmal new faux-documentary The Devil Inside lies a zany ’80s-style lowbrow comedy about competition between renegade exorcist slobs and hoity-toity rule-following exorcist snobs at the Vatican Exorcism School. The hilariously convoluted thriller contains all the elements for a wacky parody of exorcism movies, except a sense of humor about itself: The Devil Inside never acknowledges its innate ridiculousness, so the laughs are unintentional.

Fernanda Andrade stars as a traumatized young woman whose mother has been held in a Catholic mental hospital in Rome since the late 1980s, after killing three people during an unsuccessful attempt to rid her of unsightly demons. With a camera crew in tow, a now grown-up Andrade travels to Italy to look for answers behind her mother’s curious condition. While sitting in at Exorcism School, Andrade befriends two people who perform unauthorized exorcisms in their spare time, and—like everyone in The Devil Inside—are happy to have a fragile, possibly mentally ill woman and a camera crew following them around as they perform their secret, private, life-and-death work. Andrade seemingly has free rein over all of Italy; nobody, for example, thinks twice about granting her unsupervised visits with her deeply unhinged, potentially violent mother.

The Devil Inside is considerate enough to highlight its shortcomings in dialogue: Andrade underlines one of the script’s main flaws when she admits her mother’s botched exorcism and her response to it completely define her as a person. And it’s difficult to argue with the director of this supposed documentary when he frets that he’s devolved into an obnoxious asshole with a camera. The Devil Inside keeps adding elements and plot points it has no interest in resolving: It doesn’t build to a close so much as it gives up unexpectedly, with a shockingly abrupt ending. The Devil Inside opens with the exquisitely unnecessary information that the Vatican did not endorse the film, nor aid in its making. The filmmakers flatter themselves unnecessarily if they imagine this schlock is worthy of the Church’s consideration, let alone cause for close collaboration. The Catholic Church was wise to want nothing to do with The Devil Inside. Everyone else should follow suit.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Movie Review:- The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is brilliantly done in ways better then the book and way better then the 2009 version. Though I didn't dislike the 09 version I thought they left out parts from the book that I thought should've been shown. David Fincher's version you pretty much don't have to read the book. Follows it amazingly. Took parts out that could and needed to be taken out and shorten parts of the book with beautifully done shorter scenes to get the point across which was better then the books longer sequences. Even put a little twist at the end that didn't effect the story and was in my opinion better then the book original. Best Fincher opening sequence movie title which he's been known for in the past with Trent Reznor and Karen O's remake of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant song. Reznor does a great job with subtle music that sets the mood and matches exactly the emotion you feel in the scenes in the movie and story.

Daniel Craig of course is great as Mickael but Rooney Mara easily steals the movie in her performance as Lisbeth Salander. How she played Lisbeth is exactly how I pictured her. The way the book describes her quirks and how she holds and smokes her cigarette Rooney did perfectly. She plays the blend of toughness and vulnerability that is Lisbeth Salander in perfect blend. Making herself beautiful behind the tattoos and piercings that Lisbeth is known to be in the books. I want to see at least an Oscar nod for her role. As much as I love Keira Knightly and Natalie Portman I can't see them in that role after seeing Rooney Mara play her. That's how perfect she played her.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol Movie Review:- They really got the "Mission" part of Mission: Impossible right this time. There's not just one major hustle in this movie. Pretty much every turn of the plot requires a complicated scheme, and Bird and the screenwriters expertly balance all the operations in play. You've got to play with the waiting, coordinating every objective each team member is accomplishing. A lot of scenes use silent reactions to communicate between the characters and with the audience, making the stakes implicit.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Remember that scene in "The Incredibles" where they're sneaking onto Syndrome's island and taking out henchmen and dealing with the high-tech security? That sequence was like watching the Fantastic Four stepping into a '60s-era James Bond film, and it was apparent that Bird has a real love of the genre and a working knowledge of how to pay perfect tribute to it. Even so, this is his first live-action film, and he's stepping into someone else's thing, working for Tom Cruise and JJ Abrams, so I was nervous that I wouldn't see much of his personality or style in the end result. Instead, this is a pretty clear expression of Bird's voice, and there is an energy to it that feels like a whole new lease on life for the series.

Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) seems to have a more playful spirit this time. Even though he's dealing with just as serious stakes, he's able to mess with people, friend or foe. A major difference between Ethan Hunt and James Bond has been that Hunt always acts like he's really about to die. His survival really is impossible. Bond is a troublemaker whether he's Sean Connery or Daniel Craig.Paula Patton may give her best performance yet as a new agent we're introduced to, Jane Carter. She's playing it like an action hero, not the usual doe-eyed innocent we've seen. Simon Pegg is really funny without overplaying it. Jeremy Renner is good at playing the newbie and revealing his true skills.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Movie Review:- Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows follows the pattern of the first movie with Sherlock & Dr. Watson facing off against an evil villain. In this second going around, the great chemistry and interaction of Sherlock & Dr. Watson take the movie to a whole new level of fun and laughs.

I enjoyed the director's style in the movie, though many people will not. The director uses many unique views and lots of slow motion and stop action to highlight the realism of the film. In addition, the director's goes both back in time to highlight how Sherlock unravels specific mysteries and forward in time to visually walkthrough Sherlock's anlaysis of a situation. The style is unique and dynamic.

While Robert Downey Jr. has the central role as Sherlock, Jude Law steals the movie with his portrayal of Dr. Watson. Throughout the movie, the pair have great interactions, and their back-and-forth dialogue generates lots of funny moments. Robert Downey Jr. carries off the eccentricities of Sherlock with great enthusiasm, but Dr. Watson's expanded role adds to the depth of their relationship.

A pleasant surprise in the film was the introduction of Sherlock Holmes' brother, who added some charm and comedy to the film in his small role. On the other hand, I was somewhat disappointed in Sherlock's nemesis Dr. Moriarty. The actor did a competent job, but the role didn't live up to the hype of Sherlock's ultimate foe.

Overall, Game of Shadows was enjoyable with an interesting story line, lots of action, and plenty of laughs. However, many will be put off my the director's unique, in-your-face style, which I enjoyed.

We Need to Talk About Kevin Movie Story Line:- A suspenseful and psychologically gripping exploration into a parent dealing with her child doing the unthinkable, We Need To Talk About Kevin is told from the perspective of Eva, played by Tilda Swinton in a tour-de-force performance. Always an ambivalent mother, Eva and Kevin have had a contentious relationship literally from Kevin's birth. Kevin (Ezra Miller), now 15-years-old, escalates the stakes when he commits a heinous act, leaving Eva to grapple with her feelings of grief and responsibility, as well as the ire of the community-at-large. We Need To Talk About Kevin explores nature vs. nurture on a whole new level as Eva's own culpability is measured against Kevin's innate evilness, while Ramsay's masterful storytelling leaves enough moral ambiguity to keep the debate going.

We Need to Talk About Kevin Movie Review:- I haven't read the novel, so I have no idea how this compares. The film looked and sounded beautiful, but I really wanted a bit more in terms of characterisation and psychological insight. The film is no more than an art house take of the "evil child" horror picture, without the camp pleasures of an Orphan or The Omen. Tilda Swinton, never the most naturalistic of actresses, has been much praised for her performance and does her best but I didn't quite buy this beautifully alien looking creature as a suburban wife and mother and she is almost grotesquely mismatched with John C. Reilly's doofus husband. I think she did a better take on a similar character in the little seen The Deep End, where she played a mother who has to come to terms with the actions of a son who she suspects to be murderer.

Apart from her character, the other players are paper thin. We have to take it on faith that like Damien, her son was simply born evil. Reilly is like any horror movie goon and ridiculously non-perceptive about the bad seed in his family. Almost everybody else in the film is there to torment Swinton's guilt ridden mother.

I'm also rather tired of the by now overused movie device of scrambling up the time line of events, feeding us little bits of information here and there to build up to a series of reveals. In a case like this there is something almost exploitative in teasing us with various horrors to come, especially in the case of the younger sisters eye injury. I think that the film would have benefited from a chronological progression. It's fine when done well (like in the recent Red, White and Blue), but here I just thought "not again" as the film started in a self-consciously disorientating manner.

The film looks beautiful but it's as stylised as a 70s Dario Argento film with expressionistic lighting and cinematography, but at least Argento films like Suspiria didn't ask to be taken seriously and can be taken purely as exercises in style. This struck me as an ultimately empty film with little to say. It's a shame because the subject matter of a mother who just can't love her child has great potential. I assume that the book managed to explore this better.

Ricki Tarr, the British agent, makes Oliver Lacon aware about this and enrolls two agents for the investigation of the matter. Peter Guillam and George Smiley are the agents employed for the task and they must analyze everything keeping in mind that the Circus leadership should not get to know about it. This is done because anyone among them can be a mole. George Smiley believes that Communist Czechoslovakia’s mission, which is termed as Operation Testify, met its end all because of the mole. It was known that Operation Testify was started because of Czech Army general’s kidnapping. However, later, it is revealed by Circus agent Jim Prideaux that the aim of the operation was to become acquainted with the identity of the mole. After all the investigations and the hard-work of the investigators, a former friend comes out to be a mole. He was a cherished worker, but the sudden revelation of his identity places everyone in a state of shock. Bill Haydon comes out to be the mole. He is the one who once had an affair with Smiley’s now separated wife. After the success of Smiley in knowing about the mole, he is chosen as the Circus’ temporary head. The suspense of the movie is very well wrapped in the layers of drama. One must watch Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy online in order to grab this entertaining movie in no time.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Movie Review:- As someone who watched the original BBC adaptation in 1980 and admired it as one of the best BBC series ever made, watching this film was a disappointment. It suffers by comparison in almost every respect. At key scenes I kept thinking back to the BBC version: Smiley's interviews with Connie, beautifully played by Beryl Reid; the scenes with Jerry Westerby played by Joss Ackland; the introduction to the main characters as we see them enter the Circus meeting room for the first time - particularly Percy's elaborate pipe filling. In this version we have moved on three scenes in the time it takes Percy to tamp down his tobacco.

And that is one of the major problems with this film, the plot exposition is so compressed. It has been well done, but it was the slow unfolding of the 'beautiful knot' that was half the pleasure. The other half was the incomparable acting led by Guinness. Gary Oldman is a seriously good actor, but Guinness was a great actor and could convey with a gaze or a look the deep intelligence and melancholy at the heart of the character in a way that Oldman can't.

Even the recreation of the 1970's, though convincing , has to be strived for, whereas in 1979 it was just there for the BBC, ready to be used. The overall result left me ultimately feeling uninvolved. The film ended, the lights came up and that was that. OK but not as good as the book or the TV series. Now that's damning with faint praise.
